Seattle pair journey to New Mexico for pizza

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – How much would you travel for foodstuff? A person Seattle few arrived all the way to Albuquerque to try a local preferred. When people imagine of New Mexico, they assume of our state’s organic splendor, sizzling air balloons, and even the strike show, “Breaking Bad”.

However, for a single Seattle pair, they traveled to the Land of Enchantment for the pizza.

“Our regional radio station KISW 99.9 The Rock, one particular of my favored producers was from Albuquerque and he was talking about how fantastic Dion’s Pizza is and you know, we truly just desired to go down there and consider it out for ourselves,” claimed Jacob Nugent. So Nugent and his girlfriend Maddy packed their bags and headed to Albuquerque. “This was just a fall of the hat variety of point,” reported Nugent.

According to Nugent, Chicago’s deep dish is just ok and New York’s well-known pizza is excellent but to him, there’s nothing at all like a slice of New Mexican pizza. “There’s a little something about green chiles on a pizza that just sets it off in a way that I cannot even describe it for individuals who have not even tried using it,” claimed Nugent.

Despite the fact that pizza was their priority, they created space for other neighborhood dishes. “Huevos rancheros, some of the very best huevos rancheros that we have ever experienced, and of training course we did [Blake’s] Lotaburger,” explained Nugent. “We did try Slate Avenue Cafe for breakfast and that was wonderful. The biscuits and gravy with the inexperienced chile-infused cheddar biscuit.”

They designed time for some sightseeing, like having the tram, which led them to the restaurant on top of the Sandias. “We ate up there,” explained Nugent. “That was mouth watering as perfectly, a good deal of feeding on on this excursion.”

Nugent reported they’ll arrive back again to New Mexico, for seconds. Nugent explained he would be intrigued in trying the Santa Fe Margarita Trail. Dion’s claims they’ll be sending the pair some items. They say someday they’ll make it out to Seattle but in the meantime, encourages the couple to retain going to.
