Tybee Submit Theater is host to a bevy of enjoyment options as they reemerge from the confines of Covid. Famous Harry O’Donoghue can take the stage on Aug. 14 to carry out regular Irish Folksongs with the energetic accompaniment of Molly Elizabeth Gibson.  Tybee Article Theater Sets the Stage for Irish Folksinger Harry O’Donoghue and Fresh new-Confronted Molly Elizabeth Gibson.
If you meander the streets of Savannah and move by what applied to be Kevin Barry’s Irish Pub, you would have far more than probably heard the classic Irish music and tales of Harry O’Donoghue. The Irish-born and Savannah resident retains the Irish legacy of the town alive with regular folks tunes and oral historical storytelling. Pre-pandemic, O’Donoghue traveled the entire world performing on levels about the region and on the superior seas on cruise ships. He is passionate about retaining Irish traditions alive and is keen on showing folks the beauty of the Emerald Isle by organizing annually visits. Given that global vacation has been on hold for most of us, this family-friendly event will carry the loaded, historic lifestyle to audiences of all ages.
Doing along with O’Donoghue is Savannah indigenous Molly Elizabeth Gibson.
Beginning out by singing in her kitchen, Gibson’s enjoyment for the Aug. 14 general performance is unmistakable as this is her first effectiveness at the Submit. “…This will be my very first efficiency at the Tybee Post Theater! Her passion for Irish people audio lends to her extraordinary resumé. She unveiled her first monitor and tunes video, a lullaby titled “Lavender’s Blue” in the summer of 2020. Shortly soon after, she introduced her Christmas EP, “Merry Christmas.”
When questioned what she likes about undertaking in Savannah, Gibson gleams with satisfaction: “It is just so excellent to be carrying out for my beloved hometown. I am so delighted to be carrying out here with Savannah’s extremely individual Irish singer/songwriter/storyteller, Harry O’Donoghue, as he introduces me to our community.”
The breezy summer months air will be stuffed with song, tales, and laughter as O’Donoghue, Gibson, and musical guests Caitlin Frasure and Vita Gutilla acquire the phase.
Caitlin Frasure is a gifted pianist with a servant leader’s heart. As Principal Accompanist and Generation Coordinator at the Savannah Children’s Choir, Frasure has toured her talents from Indianapolis to Italy and further than. She co-established “Ascending” in 2015 with violinist Tricia Bonner and introduced the self-titled album “Ascending”, composed of 13 commissions. She relocated to Savannah in 2019 and has delved into the music neighborhood. Her performances lend a cosmopolitan flavor to her compositions.
Vito Gutilla is a multi-instrumentalist with roots in the Texas nation scene which developed to him taking part in the Irish fiddle in distinct bands close to Los Angeles. His gifted finger-buying presents standard context to the oral histories and melodies of Irish tradition.
