Federal travel constraints set to expire March 21

The federal travel limitations placed on worldwide bridges, in reaction to the coronavirus pandemic are set to expire on March 21.

Last March, the Trump administration responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by placing a federal journey restriction on land ports of entry. The restriction limited non-critical journey from Mexico to the United States.

Director of Cameron County’s International Bridge Program, Josue Garcia Jr. said the county noticed a reduction of about $7 million, in tolls by itself.
