Totem Pole Journey to Assistance Bears Ears Restoration This Weekend / Community Information Support

MONTICELLO, Utah — The motion to restore the Bears Ears Nationwide Monument in southeast Utah will get a significant improve this weekend when a hand-carved symbolic totem pole will make a stop Saturday on its tour from the west coastline to Washington, D.C.

Angelo Baca, cultural resources coordinator for the nonprofit Utah Diné Bikéyah, a group functioning to restore and guard the countrywide monument, explained the tribes of the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition are inquiring the Biden Administration to restore a considerable portion of the spot that was taken out in 2017.
