How do I get my music performed on WORT?
We acknowledge submissions in most genres and variations of songs, focusing on noncommercial, out-of-the-mainstream, unbiased releases (check out out our playlists and songs charts for far more information.) It may well take up to a couple weeks for us to critique and procedure your submission so we recognize your patience, and truly feel cost-free to speak to us to abide by up. Be sure to deliver your new music, indicating any tracks with language that desires to be aired right after 10 pm and such as a just one-sheet description and any biographical and tour details, to WORT Audio Director, 118 S. Bedford St, Madison, WI 53703 and/or to [email protected].
We do accept electronic data files on .wav or mp3, but at present we still desire CDs to electronic submissions mainly because it’s the fastest way to get it into the fingers of our programmers and on to the airwaves, while we have a expanding digital library. Digital submissions should really be .wav or other lossless information, or higher good quality mp3s [128-320 kbps.]
You can stick to up or “track” your submissions by e-mail, or contact 608-256-2001 on Wednesdays amongst 1-4 pm CST to request if we received it, has it been reviewed, has it been included to our library, and what type of airplay it’s getting—e.g. light, medium, heavy or charting.
