Hilton Debuts LXR Hotels in the US

The 70-suite Oceana Santa Monica is the brand’s first US property with Las Vegas to follow later this year

Hilton has opened its first US property under the luxury LXR Hotels and Resorts brand, the 70-suite Oceana Santa Monica, 15 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport. Formerly the Oceana Beach Club Hotel, the property has undergone a $30 million renovation.

Located west of downtown Los Angeles on Ocean Avenue, the hotel overlooks Palisades Park and the Pacific Ocean. Suites feature four-poster beds and spa-inspired bathrooms with Bottega Veneta bath amenities.

Seasonal California cuisine is available exclusively for the hotel’s guests only at the main restaurant, Sandpiper, the alfresco Veranda, or the rooftop Sunset Terrace, which also features a Nobu Pop-Up experience.

Amenities include a tree-lined swimming pool, fitness center with Peloton and Technogym equipment, and a spa treatment room.

Hilton’s LXR Hotels and Resorts collection was launched in 2018 with the former St Regis Dubai Al Habtoor City.

Another US property in Las Vegas along with one in Kyoto are set to be added to the portfolio later this year.

“With authentic inspiration woven throughout every element of the hotel – from the coastal design to fresh culinary experiences and tranquil environment – Oceana is a charming new addition to the LXR portfolio and we are proud to play a part in the vibrant Santa Monica community’s economic recovery after such a challenging year,” Feisal Jaffer, global head, LXR Hotels and Resorts, said.
