A family checking out Myrtle Seashore from Ohio was remaining at an Ocean Boulevard hotel when they had been bitten by bed bugs, a lawsuit states.

The lawsuit, filed in Horry County courtroom Aug. 12, states that Michael Campbell and his child ended up staying at the Patricia Grand lodge in May when they were being bitten.

On the 3rd night time of their 12-working day vacation the family members observed the bites and enable hotel management know, the lawsuit states. The bugs were in the bedding, carpet and mattress. It is not very clear from court docket documents what the hotel management did about the family’s complaint.

Oceana Resorts, who operate the hotel, did not reply to requests for comment on the lawsuit.

“The resort staff realized or need to have identified that the room was infested with bed bugs,” the lawsuit states.

Trevor Eddy, the lawyer representing the loved ones, stated that the lodge was negligent and triggered the family emotional distress. The spouse and children is also suing more than unfair trade procedures, premises legal responsibility and breach of contract for an unspecified quantity of dollars.
