TripAdvisor’s top rated 10 beaches in the U.S. involve an unexpected California treasure

Each individual calendar year, TripAdvisor sifts through consumer critiques to come up with its Travelers Option awards for the best destinations, landmarks, lodges and beach locations. The latter’s an ever-well known subject matter. Who doesn’t enjoy the thought of carefully lapping waves, sun kissed views and tender sand in between the toes?

This year’s top rated 25 U.S. beaches is major on the Florida and Hawaiian entries, as you’d count on, but Oregon’s Cannon Beach front (No. 5) got a shout out for its extensive strand and towering Haystack Rock. Go at low tide, one particular commenter posted, so you can see the tide swimming pools.

And California scored 4 spots on the prime 25, which include a 3rd put finish for Cambria’s Moonstone Beach — just south of Hearst Castle — and honors for La Jolla Cove (No. 14), Coronado Beach (No. 20) close to San Diego and Santa Monica State Seashore (No. 25).
